The Sims 4 ’s take on neighborhoods and the world at large is by far its biggest shortcoming. To go anywhere in The Sims 4 — even to the house adjacent to the one you’re currently at — requires a loading screen, each of which lasted about 20 seconds on my PC. It’s not just that the load times became a massive annoyance, one that made me want to stop traveling altogether; it’s that the world of The Sims 4 doesn’t feel like a world at all.
